I am very drawn to displaying the human body in a positive view so that no matter what the shape and design, it depicts the beauty of the human body. I enjoy creating art to help give others confidence and also help myself gain confidence. When I was younger, I was bullied about how my body looked. That made me lose confidence in myself and sometimes I still have body image issues. My art helps me feel confident about my body and I hope that I can help others feel confident about how they look. My work is about body images and confidence. I want to represent all types of bodies through my work. The work is made based on real people. I gather images from people who want to be a part of my work and create pieces from those images. I mostly work in acrylic, oil, gouache, watercolor, and charcoal. I also like to play with other mediums such as 3D, sewing and textiles, and stained glass. I hope that people will see themselves in any of my pieces and feel beautiful in who they are. I plan on becoming an art teacher for elementary school kids and high schoolers.
